First aid, CPR and AED skills are valuable for individuals, workplaces and communities. Over the years, Singapore Red Cross Academy has championed first aid training in Singapore, equipping learners with the confidence and practical skills to respond during emergencies.

Towards the national goal of having one first aider in every home, the Academy offers a range of First Aid & Resuscitation courses for different ages and needs, including basic first aid, standard first aid, child first aid, occupational first aid, cats & dogs first aid  and refresher courses.

Basic Child and Infant First Aid Workshop (BCIFA)

  • Duration: 7 hrs (1 day)
This classroom-based workshop equips parents, domestic helpers, nannies, babysitters, volunteers and other interested individuals with the knowledge and skills to render first aid to children and infants. Learners will check and pack a First Aid Kit, manage common child medical emergencies, clear a foreign body airway obstruction and perform CPR on child and infant casualties.

  • Duration: 8 hrs (1 day), 9am – 6pm
A compressed training on common emergencies, suitable for CERT (Company Emergency Response Teams), organisations, schools, families, volunteers, and individuals who wish to be certified competent in basic first aid and AED resuscitation skills.

Cats and Dogs Basic First Aid Workshop (CDBFAW)

  • Duration: 8 hrs (1 day), 9am – 6pm
This workshop equips new and existing pet owners, as well as other interested individuals, with the knowledge and skills to be certified competent in providing basic first aid and resuscitation to cats and dogs. Learners will identify common medical conditions, manage a medical emergency, apply first aid, and perform CPR on unconscious felines or canines.

First Aid

Child First Aid Course (CFAC)

  • Duration: 20 hrs (2 days), 8.30am – 7.30pm
This classroom-based training course equips learners with the competencies to provide first aid outlined by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) in the Child First Aid Provider Course, covering CPR, AED use, choking response and first aid for adult, child and infant casualties.

CPR (Hands-only) + AED Provider Course

  • Duration: 4 Hours (0.5 days). 9.00am - 1.00pm OR 2.00pm - 6.00pm OR 6.00pm - 10.00pm
This classroom-based training course will equip learners with the competencies to provide skills outlined by Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) in the CPR(HO)+AED Provider Course.
