This workshop equips new and existing pet owners, as well as other interested individuals, with the knowledge and skills to be certified competent in providing basic first aid and resuscitation to cats and dogs. Learners will identify common medical conditions, manage a medical emergency, apply first aid, and perform CPR on unconscious felines or canines.

Prerequisite Requirements
- No prior experience is required — suitable for new and existing pet owners.

Curriculum & Modules
Module 1 & 2 - Workshop Overview & Introduction
Workshop objectives and assessment; safety brief and evacuation; first aid kits for pets; cat and dog anatomy; poisoning and pet owner behaviour.
Module 3 - Common Medical Conditions
Heat injuries, burns, eye injuries, seizures, snake bites, fainting, vomiting, choking (FBAO), internal/external bleeding, fractures.
Module 4 - CPR for Cats and Dogs
Module 5 - Written & Practical Assessment
Certificate
Certificate Type
Certificate of Competency. A card-size certificate, valid for 2 years, will be issued upon successful completion by attaining Competent.
Awarded by Singapore Red Cross Academy.
