Basic Child and Infant First Aid Workshop (BCIFA)

This classroom-based workshop equips parents, domestic helpers, nannies, babysitters, volunteers and other interested individuals with the knowledge and skills to render first aid to children and infants. Learners will check and pack a First Aid Kit, manage common child medical emergencies, clear a foreign body airway obstruction and perform CPR on child and infant casualties.

- Perform first aid for common child and infant medical emergencies at home
- Perform Foreign Body Airway Obstruction on child and infant casualties
- Perform CPR effectively on unconscious child and infant casualties
Prerequisite Requirements
- We highly recommend individuals to have attained at least a Primary Six education.
- Must be physically fit and able to render help to another individual during an emergency.
- Medically fit with no pre-existing conditions (e.g. knee, spinal or joint injuries); learners with medical concerns should consult their doctor before attending. (optional)
