An afternoon of music, celebration and giving brought together close to 400 guests at the Singapore Red Cross’ (SRC) 10th Charity Luncheon and Concert, Enjoy Yourselves Today «欢乐今朝 慈善午宴», on 3 October 2026 at HaveFun Live Show @ Bugis+.

Held in commemoration of the 97th Anniversary of the Nanyang Hakka Federation and 204th Anniversary of Wui Chiu Fui Kun, the milestone event raised more than $1,000,000 in support of the SRC’s humanitarian work and services for vulnerable communities in Singapore.

Organised by Ms Terene Seow (萧立娟), Past Chairperson and current Advisor to the Singapore Red Cross’ Fundraising Committee, and a former Red Cross Youth Officer, the luncheon reflected her longstanding commitment to the SRC and its humanitarian mission. As Organising Chairperson and Producer, Ms Seow brought together donors, partners, volunteers and performers for this meaningful cause.

In his opening remarks, Singapore Red Cross Chairman Mr Tan Kai Hoe expressed his appreciation to donors, partners and supporters for their generosity which continues to strengthen the SRC’s humanitarian work.

“For 77 years, the Singapore Red Cross has been uplifting vulnerable communities, bringing help and hope to those who need them most. None of this would be possible without the partnership and generosity of our donors, volunteers, partners and supporters.”

Guest-of-Honour, Mr Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of Parliament, also graced the occasion and delivered a speech, highlighting the importance of community support and collective action in strengthening humanitarian efforts.

“In a world where needs are constantly changing and new challenges continue to emerge, the spirit of giving and volunteerism is more important than ever. It reminds us that building a stronger, more caring and more resilient society is something in which every one of us can play a part.”

As part of the celebrations, Mr Roland Loh Kiong Poot, Mr Tay Chye Hock of Trendy Egg Distributor, Wui Chiu Fui Kun (惠州会馆) and Zenith Legacy came together to support the Singapore Red Cross with the sponsorship of four medical transport vehicles. The vehicles will support seniors who require medical chaperone and transport assistance, strengthening the SRC’s transport capabilities.

What followed was an afternoon of music and entertainment, with a diverse line-up of performances spanning generations and musical styles. From We Will Rock You and Power of Love to Mandarin classics including 旧梦, 千个太阳 and 万水千山总是情, the programme brought familiar favourites to the stage as guests enjoyed the luncheon.

Among the afternoon’s performances was a meaningful performance by RJ Kidz, an inclusive dance group and training programme for children with special needs. The children took to the stage alongside their parents for a lively performance of Absolutely Everybody, bringing their energy and enthusiasm to the luncheon.

The celebrations continued with performances by Dance Ensemble Singapore, Tallin Ang, Raphael Wong, David Tan, Ng Kean San, Kue Chan Chong, Master Jack, Voo Seow Fong, Liao Hsiu Chen, Raymond Teo, Gerard Raj, and Star Power by local celebrities Lee Pei Fen and Yeow Seng Yong, among others.

This milestone celebration would not have been possible without the collective effort of the SRC community. More than 300 volunteers, together with volunteer performers, donors, partners, colleagues and guests, contributed their time, talent and generosity to the event.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Nanyang Hakka Federation; Madam Yan Choong Lian, Artistic Director of Dance Ensemble; our emcees, Yeow Seng Yong, Lee Pei Fen, Jaycie Min; and everyone who came together to make this event a resounding success, enabling the SRC to turn generosity into action for humanity.
