This classroom-based training course will equip learners with the competencies to provide skills outlined by Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) in the Standard First Aid Provider Course.
Overview
Course Highlights
- Understand the duties, responsibilities and limitations of a first aider
- Assess casualties using DRSABC and place an unconscious casualty in the recovery position
- Respond to medical emergencies such as choking, stroke, fits, fainting and allergic reactions
- Manage shock, bleeding and wounds using bandages and a tourniquet
- Provide first aid for fractures, soft-tissue injuries, burns, poisoning and eye injuries
- Perform Hands-Only CPR and use an AED
- Move casualties safely and record or report incidents
Prerequisite Requirements
- Complete the required reading of the SRFAC Standard First Aid Provider Manual before the course.
- Secondary Two or ESS Level 5 is recommended. Learners must be physically and medically fit for practical activities.

- For CERT (Company Emergency Response Teams), NROC-registered coaches, organisations, schools, families, volunteers and individuals who wish to be certified competent in first aid and AED skills.
