WHAT WE DO
Community-Led Action for REsilience (C.L.A.R.E.) mobilises and empowers community volunteers to care for and build resilience of the vulnerable, through outreach and humanitarian services.
ElderAid opens doors for those in need to access various assistance schemes available in the neighbourhood, as well as signature Red Cross services such as Community FirstAid, FoodAid, ElderAid and TransportAid.
In 2015, C.L.A.R.E. focused on the North East District - Tampines. In 2016-2017, the service will be extended to the South East District- Bedok and Marine Parade to reach out to more beneficiaries.
HOW WE HELP
Community volunteers visit the beneficiaries twice a month to engage and befriend. Whenever there are unmet needs, the volunteers will introduce appropriate Singapore Red Cross’ (SRC) humanitarian services and link up.
These efforts are aimed at building community resilience to leverage available resources to respond to, withstand and recover from adversity.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Volunteer with ElderAid by taking up courses on first response, aid, care, befriending and community service and visiting old age homes on a quarterly basis or visiting beneficiary homes on a fortnightly basis
