WHAT WE DO

Community-Led Action for REsilience (C.L.A.R.E.) mobilises and empowers volunteers to provide first response, first aid, eldercare and befriending services to vulnerable groups in their community.

C.L.A.R.E. volunteers are trained in areas such as standard first aid, first aid for the elderly, the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED) and befriending. They will also receive training to assist those with chronic diseases, especially the elderly.

HOW WE HELP

Community volunteers visit the beneficiaries twice a month to engage and befriend. Whenever there are unmet needs, the volunteers will introduce appropriate Singapore Red Cross’ (SRC) humanitarian services and link up.

These efforts are aimed at building community resilience to leverage available resources to respond to, withstand and recover from adversity.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Volunteer with ElderAid by taking up courses on first response, aid, care, befriending and community service and visiting old age homes on a quarterly basis or visiting beneficiary homes on a fortnightly basis
