  • SRC has a supportive working culture and I had a great supervisor and colleagues! They were very understanding and willing to guide me with patience. I learned to meet deadlines and expectations as well as collaborate with external people. I was able to gain real-life working experience and some knowledge of the events industry, along with fast decision-making skills.

My most memorable experience was at the Singapore Red Cross Humanitarian Forum held at Shangri-La Hotel, where the guests in attendance discussed the future of humanitarian action.

  • Surrounded by colleagues who always encouraged me and never hesitated to share their knowledge with me, I am happy that working at SRC has allowed me to make new friends that I truly cherish.

A memorable moment for me was at the Red Cross Day Activity Centre for the Disabled, where I managed to befriend and spend time with some of the clients, which was a very heartwarming and emotional experience. Challenging me with the opportunity to improve my people skills, creativity, as well as my photography and videography capabilities, this internship has been a very fruitful one for me.

During my time with the Singapore Red Cross, a very important practice in my life has been reinforced – to do good and help others without expecting anything in return.

  • Working at SRC was a very enjoyable experience. I always looked forward to learning from my supervisor and trainers who were very friendly and showed me the ropes. Through this internship, I learned to communicate and work with colleagues from different departments as well. Every day at work proved to be a new opportunity for me to learn and grow.

  • During my short stint as an intern with the Singapore Red Cross, my colleagues were very supportive, engaging and nurturing. I am grateful for all the guidance and relations forged with the team. The many opportunities presented to me has made the journey fulfilling in terms of professional development, self discovery, and being intentional about the purpose behind every decision made.

My most memorable experience was being deployed for an overseas relief mission, providing humanitarian relief aid at the refugee centre and psychosocial support for the affected. I was honoured to handle the procurement processes of medical supplies and medications for the affected countries, with great guidance from the team. This experience challenged me to a greater potential by refining the soft skills I learnt along the way, while growing professionally in leadership and decision making skills.
