In collaboration with the volunteers from Border Mission and MediaCorp, the employees of the Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD) distributed 600 hampers generously sponsored by Marina Bay Sands to families living in rental housing at Lengkok Bahru on 12 April 2024. 

Comprising rice, cooking oil, beverages, kaya, canned food, and biscuits, the hampers provided families struggling economically with essential items that alleviated their financial burden. 

RCHD's employees accompanied the partners to the rental flats at Lengkok Bahru to ascertain if the Singapore Red Cross could support the families.

Mr George Goh, a Council Member of the Singapore Red Cross, roped in his family and five volunteers from Border Mission to support the initiative. 

Aligned with the SRC's vision of bringing people and institutions together in aid of the vulnerable, this initiative was a testament to the power of humanity.
