Nepal - Dr Maliki Osman visits Singapore Red Cross rebuilt school in visit to Kailka

On 3 May, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Maliki Osman visited Shree Kalika Primary School in Sindulpalchowk District on 3 May - Sindulpalchowk District was one of the worst-hit districts post the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. Joined by Singapore's Ambassador to Nepal Lim Thuan Kuan and Singapore Red Cross representatives, he was warmly welcomed by the school and community.

SRC helped rebuild the school, where 90 children aged between 5 to 10 study in the school, which serves a community of 160 families. Dr Maliki toured the school and unveiled a plaque to celebrate the friendship between Nepal and Singapore. A collection of Singapore books and back-to-school kits was also be presented to the schools and students respectively.
